Take a pristine plot of land at the base of Table Mountain, add an infinity pool, a full size tennis court and a five bedroom mansion and you will have all the elements that make 18 on Hillwood one of the finest properties in Bishopscourt. Located in a neighbourhood which has been home to Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela, it is perfectly situated to explore the best that Cape Town has to offer including the Kirstenboch Botanical Gardens and the Constantia Winelands, along with some of the countries most sought after restaurants.

The villa consists of five large bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, King size bed and stunning views of Table Mountain. The two rooms upstairs have incredible balconies while the three rooms downstairs open up directly onto the property. Modern luxuries are found throughout including satellite TV, an electronic safe and heated towel rails amongst others.

Upon arrival you will be greeted by Deborah, the house manager, and Justin, the houseman. They create a very welcoming atmosphere which allows you to fully relax and enjoy your time at the villa as if you had visited a hundred times prior. I cannot thank them enough for making our stay memorable, for the wide variety of drinks stocked in the mini bar, the logs of wood for fire and the recommendations on the surrounding area. Their presence added to the experience and it was always pleasant to discuss the coming days events with them.

Included daily is a continental breakfast with a large selection of favourites for any taste. Fresh breads, cereals, juices, meats, salmon and cheeses are beautifully spread throughout the dining area and can be enjoyed inside or on the spacious outdoor patio.

There are an endless amount of positive aspects which make 18 on Hillwood an impeccable choice for any type of vacation. Whether you are travelling with friends or family, for a week or a month, there is more then enough to keep you entertained while at the same time providing a safe haven in a remarkable setting.

Optionally, you may elect to hire a butler or a private chef during your stay. For those looking to get out and view Cape Town from the water, you have the opportunity to utilize the properties private 56 foot yacht. This villa truly has it all, an elegant, tasteful, romantic, family friendly hideaway which provides every element for a unique, tailor-made experience in South Africa. I cannot wait to return one day and share this remarkable villa with more people in my life.

Very nice property! That view of table mountain is quite impressive. Is the Tennis Court private to the villa or part of the community?

    • nadaCliche

Hey Josh, it’s private and even more incredible in person!

  • Victor

Wow, what a spot. Would love to have the family over there for the holidays, haven’t been to Cape Town in 10+ years. Good stuff.

If only I could gather enough friends to join me in my favourite city LOL

  • Jamie

Very cool pad. Does it feel weird living with someone else in the house though? Is it intrusive at all?

    • nadaCliche

Hey Jamie, I didn’t find it to be at all haha. I could see how it would be but you are more or less greeted on arrival and then the house is yours unless you require assistance. Breakfast is prepared for you and then you feel all alone.

This would be great for a little yoga retreat. Just a small intimate gathering. Thanks for sharing.
