  • Joyner

How do you pick these hotels? Do you visit them all?

    • nadaCliche

Hey Joyner, Yes I do visit all these hotels myself at one point between December 1 – November 30th of any given year. I then select my favourites based on certain criteria and award the winners. Thanks for checking them out!

  • Vera

Those bathrooms at Silo Hotel are phenomenal!!! I’m thinking of a safari next winter, would you recommend South Africa or Kenya? (or another destination?) Thx

    • nadaCliche

Hi Vera, that’s awesome you will have an amazing time no matter where you go! You will find a few key differences for instance South Africa all national parks are technically fenced in meaning no animal is truly “wild” as they are not free roaming, whereas Kenya there are no fences. South Africa has a lot of private game reserves which allow off roading and evening drives where national parks in Kenya don’t. South Africa has a lot of paved roads, where Kenya is mostly dirt. It comes down to preference, you will meet amazing people and see magnificent animals in either destination. Hopefully one day you can visit both and compare the two. My other favourite safari destinations are Tanzania, Botswana and Namibia.

I stayed at Cervo with my fiancé last November, it was magnificent. If we have similar taste I may need to check out some of your other finds 😉
