Can’t decide if you want to wake up to views of Lions Head, the Twelve Apostles or the ocean while you’re in Camps Bay?  Luckily, you don’t really have to choose when you stay at Retreat on Hove, a stunning 7500 square foot, four bedroom villa. Upon entering the elegantly designed open concept space you will observe numerous impressive features including an underwater view of the pool, a vast outdoor lounge area and unparalleled views of the surrounding landscape.

The villa serves as a fully functioning intimate escape for those who wish to get away and relax whilst settling into one of the four stylish suites. The urban-chic retreat may also be rented out in it’s entirety for those who wish to have exclusive access to all the amenities and dedicated onsite management team. An ideal accommodation for one night or an extended stay, in a perfect location to explore all that Cape Town has to offer.

The largest of the four suites is located on the top floor and boasts a vast balcony which encompasses magnificent views from all angles. Waking up in the large double bed means having Lions head and the rooftops of Camps Bay at your feet. Floor to ceiling windows allow natural light to brighten the space and soak in the surrounding atmosphere. A room highlight includes a window pane in the shower with views of the Twelve Apostles.

The second suite on the top floor, and a personal favourite, is the spacious corner retreat with pristine ocean views which only get better as the sun sets. Tastefully decorated with predominantly white features and wooden accents, this space offers every amenity for the perfect live/sleep balance. A room highlight includes a wrap around balcony which occupies nearly 50% of the rooms perimeter.

As the name suggests this elegantly designed suite is privately situated on the lower level of the villa. Masterfully designed with natural materials and neutral colours which create a truly peaceful oasis. A room highlight includes an exclusive garden area with a large daybed for the ultimate comfort in the most tranquil setting.

Desirably secluded on the main level at the back of the villa is the large, airy sun retreat. The high ceilings and open concept floor-plan provide an expansive space to nestle into. A room highlight includes a considerable amount of natural light illuminating the lush gardens surrounding the small terrace outside.

The pool area invites you to indulge in pure bliss. Allow time to pass on your own accord as you read a book poolside or take a leisurely soak. The tranquil environment provides an ideal environment to be as productive or as relaxed as you desire. The perfect setting for any time of the day, and an ideal location to watch the sky turn red in the horizon with a drink in hand.

Whether you want to relax by the fire in the lounge area or snack on some buttery popcorn in the private cinema room whilst enjoying your favourite film, there is plenty to do if you decide to stay in for the evening. For the ultimate relaxation make use of the onsite jacuzzi or book an appointment at The Hove Spa for some well deserved treatments.

Every morning a freshly prepared breakfast awaits in the dining area with a large spread of early morning delights, traditional favourites and fresh fruits. A delicious hot meal is made to order which will satisfy any craving you may be having. Eggs Benedict or a fresh waffle are sure to get your day started right.

If you’re looking for an intimate, private escape with an elegant flair in Camps Bay then Retreat on Hove undoubtedly has everything you require for an unforgettable stay. The incredible views, stunning architecture, elegant suites, flawless service and ideal location create a pristine accommodation and experience for any traveller for any length of time.

Wow stunning views! Is that area easily walkable? We’ve been trying to decide between staying in Camps Bay or the waterfront in October. What would you recommend? My jaw dropped with the ocean view retreat.

    • nadaCliche

Oh jeez, veryyyy difficult decision but I think I would choose the waterfront as there is more to do and visit Camps Bay for the day.

  • Justin

This places looks incredible! HOLY MOLY! Is it like a hotel or more like a house with shared common areas? How is the area for walking?

    • nadaCliche

Hey Justin, the area is safe but not the easiest for walking. We Uber’d everywhere!

    • nadaCliche

Hey Josh, best to check their website or contact them directly as the rate may change I don’t want to write it here for the future. Cheers. –

I LOVE that pool! The style of the rooms is so sleek and elegant too. Great find, I’ve been supporting a lot of smaller run establishments myself. It seems to be a more intimate and rewarding experience. Best, KB.
